okay, so the green ones pretty much suck, but they could be worse. turns out if you turn them so that the fat end points down it makes a much better noise than any other angle i’ve tried to shake them at. so that’s progress.

the black one, however, is quite nice. it has a nice crispy sound to it.

i always wonder what is in shakers. rice? bird seed? old peppermints chopped into tiny pieces? one never knows about these things. although i do have 2 of the exact same sub-par green shakers and one of them is just begging for me to solve the mystery of its insides…
