i played a little bit with most all of my song fragments today and got two more basically finalized. one is ‘the one with the riff’, which i really didn’t do much of anything else to, i just sort of decided it was done and that i was okay with where it was at. i’m still not 100% sure of what the title will be yet.

i did an awful lot of work on ‘hated prechorus song.’ this morning was pretty frustrating because i couldn’t really take it where i wanted it to go…but this afternoon it started to break loose some. i wrote new verses, a new prechorus (3rd one this song has had) and a bridge that i like an awful lot right now. melodically i’m still playing with exactly where the song goes back to after the bridge and how it gets there, but it’s basically there i think and i am happy with it. although i could easily see myself wanting to change the verses again in like a week…..at some point you sort of have to stick by your own ideas or else nothing will ever be good enough.

thinking about trying out ‘beautiful’ on a different audience pretty soon….i will let you know how that goes.
