so. musical things have been on hiatus for quite some time now. i haven’t sat down to write in quite awhile. working, been out of town a good bit, etc. at a few moments i’ve felt that when i do sit back down things may come easier from being subconsciously welled up inside, but alas my poor memory might again stand in the way.
but soon, i hope, i can continue. i have a few hot deadline projects for the next couple weeks, but if i am diligent i can get them done fairly quickly and have time to write or arrange. i’ve had a few words come to me here and there in the car that are on the usual sticky notes.
‘hated prechorus song’, or ‘king forever’ as i believe its final name is now, debuted at both churches 2 sundays ago. i got a mixture of good feedback and no feedback. let me tell you how much fun no feedback is.
i am interested to see what i can do as far as arranging that one when i start to record it.
i need to have my electric guitar set up, as it is in tune at the lower frets but not the higher. when we covered u2 a few weeks back, since i was only playing ‘still haven’t found what i’m looking for’ on electric, i actually had to tune it around the higher frets where i was playing the riff line…so if i were to strike a regular ‘e’ chord, for example, it would not have been even remotely in tune; scary circumstances to play live with. this is what i’m working with, people. i cannot work under these ‘orrible conditions.
thinking of getting a micro amp pedal also so that i can actually start using the guitar live…..i’ll have to see how the setup goes though. wonder how much they charge for that these days…

behold the “baghauer” electric guitar….so named for the two of us who took apart the pieces of two lesser electric guitars and combined them to form one masterwork of guitar technology.
