i just spent the past hour and a half talking with a friend of mine who is a professor of theology to get his thoughts on some things. it was insanely interesting. he should probably charge for the receipt of his wisdom. we spoke of communion, routine, and miracles. and some other stuff. i have 2 pages of notes to mull over and i’ve never been more excited to mull over any page of notes that i can remember.

in other news i have officially made the switch from digital to analog for the majority of my writing. at some point last week i realized that i spend my life already in front of the computer and that it was no longer conducive to my songwriting. as of sometime last week i am now penning upon the almighty yellow legal pad and it is fantastic. my only complaint is that they were discount pads so the back is flimsy rather than rigid….but you can’t expect to make perfect legal pad choices on the first try. it’s just too much pressure on one person.

someone asked me sunday how many songs i had finished now and i realized i am at 11. that’s more than 10 and somehow i jumped to double digits without realizing it. it was a good realization. still much more to write though!

oh and i played ‘not the end’ at church sunday night and the response was good.
