first off, of course, is the new look for the blog, which is (sort of) reflecting the new design i’m working on for kiesshauer.com. don’t tell anyone though.
also there are new songs afoot:
• one is a ‘welcoming in’ upbeat sort of song and has most of the music done and needs more lyric-wise. i like where it is right now and its one of those that i’m scared i’ll ruin cause what i have now is good.
• then we have a slower one whose initial tune came really quickly and after playing through it again the other day i realized that i really like it. this is rare.
• there is this one that sounds almost poppy that was written in response to someone’s circumstances. i don’t know what to make of it. i like what it says but it doesn’t look promising that it will end up on the album.
• i have this other one with poetic lines in it that is more upbeat as well and it is not my favorite but i do like it.
• there is the upbeat communion song that i may have mentioned before but i can’t remember. it needs some more work but bethany really liked it.
• there’s one about the cross that is just words but there is potential.
so; many bullet points later, there you have it. this is the state of things.
