i didn’t realize i hadn’t posted since the depressing last post. haha. it happens; now i know why people always refer to them as “tormented artists” – i am one.

so, new stuff happenin. new song finished today. i had come up with the basic tune a couple weeks ago and it has just sat here until this morning when i sat down and finished it. (i think) i really like it. might have to lower the key. i don’t know how it is that i sometimes write things that are too high for me to sing….that seems weird to me. but i guess you can’t control what’s in your head.

so in case you were wondering what a finished song looks like before i type it:

there are variations of course but that is generally something like what it looks like. and yes i know it’s backwards. its not like you can read it from that picture anyway.

i also heard this thing at church last night…it was some kind of responsive reading thing and one of the parts said something about how “it is right for us to praise our lord” or something, which i really liked and thought it would be good song fodder. so far it is 4 lines. i’ll let you know if it goes anywhere.

lots of time this week i think so it should be a good week for writing…!
