things were going so well.

i had added a bass part to king forever a day or two ago as a next step. then today i tracked the bass over because it wasn’t good enough, and i also tracked acoustic rhythm and electric rhythm. big steps for one day. i was trying to figure out some click track and tempo issues that popped up the other day — and then it happened.

technology failed me.

pro tools gave me an error. something in unintelligible technobabble — even for me. but what it amounted to was that i couldn’t really save anything or even quit the program.

long story short: now the external hard drive with all my music stuff on it can’t be read or repaired by my computer. :/

so now my productive day comes to a screeching halt while i scour the internet for data recovery possibilities. i am not a happy camper.

i will keep you posted on the outcome.
