remember that mic i said i’d borrow from the church? the one that was smaller but might be good for acoustics?
it is AWESOME. but let me explain.
the difference is probably not something most would notice, especially in with other instruments. and it is something that you in fact will never notice because you can’t hear them side by side. but i did. i recorded the same track for “nothing else” and listened to it next to the one i did with the large diaphragm Shure and the difference is definitely enough to notice. it didn’t sound bad before but now….so clean….so crispy…..so warm. mmmm. though it may sound like i’m speaking of some kind of apple pie desert, these are in fact musical terms. …not real sure about ‘crispy’ to be honest, but if it’s not it should be.
SO. nothing else’s guitar is fixed many times over now, which is good. might keep this one simple, so i might only need to redo vocals and that one may be all set.
gonna go do acoustic tracks now for some of the other ones. so excited to have a good sound….!
oh the mic is an AKG C 451 E in case you wanted to know.
