i worked like mad last week on this stuff, it was fantastic. i finished acoustic rhythm tracks on everything that needed it; there may only be one i might have to redo. then there’s an acoustic lead part i have to learn and record for ‘rise’ but then we should be about done with those, which is great. this also means that all of the songs are basically set up in pro tools files now, so i’m probably most of the way done with garageband, but you never know.

i also worked on some synth parts for ‘questions.’ originally i just wanted some kind of constant background texture but i haven’t been able to find one yet. instead for the moment i’ve replaced that with a really deep synth thing that sort of carries the bass line in the song. i think it works….but i’m not totally sure yet.

i brought the bass home yesterday, so getting bass done for everything is this week’s goal. also i totally got the BANJO yesterday! thank you, joanna. i will take a picture of it later on when i start trying to figure out how to play the part that i’m thinking of on it. so twangy. so nice.
