just doing a little practicing today for recording the electric parts tomorrow. i’ll generally come up with parts for the stuff and then forget what i did, so i’ve got to relearn some of the stuff. there are parts in that song that, upon listening today, forgot were even in there. it’s pretty funny really. so i’m trying to work some of that out. i still don’t love any of the distortion sounds i’ve got, although they are okay. darian has another pedal i’m going to try in addition to the ones i have, so we’ll see how that goes.

vocals are supposed to be tomorrow too, and i’ve gotten a touch of the cold everyone seems to have right now. while that part doesn’t seem so bad, the other bit is that i may have worn my voice out pretty bad last night – tried to have my voice carry over the bass and djimbe for an acoustic service…may have been detrimental, so i’m trying to rest it today. here’s hoping she makes a full recovery by tomorrow.
