the dust is settling

from the move and i’m finally starting to get back into gear with this album thing. even though i’m still playing the waiting game on this last hook-up, i think i’m going to make the call if i cant’ get ahold of the guy in the next week or two. then the ol’ blog should be a shade more interesting since i should actually be in the studio getting this thing done.

today i practiced everything. i think i’m finally satisfied with the final tracklist so i’ve been playing through the parts i’ve got down so far, working on sections of vocals, and just practicing my chops. i’m going to try to do scratch tracks ahead of time this go-round if possible so i don’t have to spend any time in the studio doing that like i did with the demo. plus now that we’ve moved i have this sweet room to play in now:

i’ve also got a running sheet now with which tracks made the cut on there, time signatures, tempos, and anything else that seems important.

so we’re on the move, people. just a little, but it feels good to have my mind back on this thing. another couple weeks and i hope to be in studio somewhere or other making this thing happen.

Can’t wait to hear the final result bud. I’m sad that you cut All For God Alone. That was one of my favs. You’ll just have to put that on your sophomore album.
