indeed they are!
last night i officially became the owner of a microphone that i borrowed for – no exaggeration here – no less than 5 years. i borrowed it originally with good intentions — learning how to use it for recording, then using it for recording, then giving it back. i swear this is true.
but time kept creeping on and i kept on having it. it ended up being invaluable to me in the recording process; having a nice mic around that can record just about anything (especially vocals pretty well) was a huge help. and last night, at dinner with the man himself, it officially became mine forever. guilt be gone! i am free!
so thank you, Jacob ‘Livingston’ Garland* — you are the man.
and while i’m on a ‘thank you’ vibe — to all of you who have spammed and continue to spam my facebook wall with encouragement i say this — thank you. i imagine as any sort of artist you never get tired of hearing that your work is being enjoyed or means something to someone – there is no limit to that. so thanks.
to all of you who have taken time to put thoughts into email and send it to me – thank you. the fact that you took the time to do it means a lot.
and especially those of you who have taken the time to post extremely nice blog messages (that i know of) – you are all my heroes. every little bit helps to get the word out. same to the one’s who post about the record in their gmail status, facebook status, twitter, you name it — it is all very much appreciated.
*p.s. – it was discovered that he too was the one who submitted my cd info for me. awesome!
ooo, oooo, i know some others who did a post on the CD. tiff and jorge, mikie and alli, and dan and betsey's blogs all hit you up bigtime
awwwww I love jacob garland and think of him often. what a great guy. we love you, keiss and will keep spreading the word!
