the warren barfield show

well the show with Warren Barfield was a lot of fun.  i hadn’t ever seen him live before, and if you haven’t either, i recommend it; not only is he absurdly talented, he is also really, really funny.  on stage and off.

the concert was a benefit for adoption assistance – some folks at Southern HIlls Christian Church are adopting a bunch of kids from Nicaragua, which is awesome.  so it was part concert, part fundraiser.  however, Warren had to catch a plane to be somewhere (texas or someplace else not close) for a fairly early thing the next morning, so things were a little unconventional.  first, warren played his set and then talked a bit about some missions stuff, then we had an intermission. after that, he came back on for a couple songs, did a couple of songs with me, and then i did my songs, ending with one that everyone knew.

so everything flowed together just fine, and Warren was great to work with.  however…i will say that following the main act when you’re the opener is a little intimidating to say the least.  :)

anyway, it was a lot of fun — and thanks to everyone who came out!
